About the role
We are seeking a Technical SEO Manager to lead the technical search strategy for a portfolio of high‑traffic ecommerce sites. You will work closely with Digital, Development, UX, Content and Trading teams to embed SEO best practice into every stage of our digital transformation.
Key responsibilities
- Own and deliver the technical SEO strategy across multiple ecommerce websites.
- Lead SEO requirements during platform migrations, major website developments and digital transformation projects.
- Collaborate with Development teams to ensure SEO best practice is embedded in technical delivery.
- Manage external SEO partners and monitor commercial KPIs.
- Conduct regular technical SEO audits to improve crawlability, indexing, site architecture and overall health.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve Core Web Vitals, page speed and overall technical performance.
- Optimise internal linking, structured data, schema implementation, redirects and canonicalisation.
- Partner with Ecommerce, Trading and Content teams to refine category architecture, taxonomy and onsite search visibility.
- Plan and execute site migrations while minimising organic traffic risk.
- Monitor algorithm updates, emerging search technologies and AI‑driven search developments.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing technical SEO for enterprise‑level ecommerce environments.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable optimisation plans.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence cross‑functional teams.
- Track record of delivering measurable organic growth during large‑scale digital projects.
