Technical Skills Trainer

About the role

Join Tarmac Trading Limited’s Learning & Development team as a Technical Skills Trainer. You will help build the competence and confidence of our operational workforce across the UK by delivering accredited and in‑house training programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom, practical, face‑to‑face and virtual sessions covering safety, health and operational competence.
• Facilitate apprenticeship programmes through coaching, guidance and assessment.
• Review learner coursework and portfolio evidence, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, progress and compliance records.
• Create, update and enhance training materials, learning resources and session plans.
• Build strong relationships with operational managers, apprenticeship stakeholders and awarding bodies.
• Gather feedback and contribute to continuous improvement of training programmes.

Required profile

• Passionate about developing people and delivering high‑impact learning.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to adapt training delivery to diverse audiences and environments.
• Experience working with apprentices and managing assessment records.
