About the role
We are looking for a Technical Stores Manager to lead the maintenance of store levels at our state‑of‑the‑art coffee manufacturing plant in Dalston, Cumbria. Reporting to the Factory Engineering Manager, you will ensure engineering parts availability, manage stock levels and support continuous improvement across the site.
Key responsibilities
- Receive supplier deliveries, allocate correctly and create stock items while maintaining MRP data.
- Manage all spare‑parts activities – receiving, issuing, storage, and re‑ordering.
- Analyse slow‑moving parts to prevent obsolete inventory.
- Implement inventory control processes, including cycle counting, access procedures and staff training.
- Create master data and reorder levels for new parts using Excel.
- Drive cost‑optimisation and workplace transformation initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven track record in a Stores Management role, preferably within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Experience using a Stores Management system or similar computer system.
- Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel, and invoicing processes.
- FLT licence desirable but not essential.
