Technical Trainer – Mechanical / Automotive

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Mechanical/Automotive Technical Trainer to develop and deliver training programmes for a nationwide dealer network. The role combines deep vehicle knowledge with engaging facilitation to raise the technical competence of dealership staff.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and deliver training sessions on modern vehicle technology, repair and maintenance procedures.
• Provide practical insights and assessments to ensure delegates meet performance standards.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to keep training content up‑to‑date.
• Travel occasionally across the UK and Europe to support dealer sites.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience in automotive or related mechanical engineering environments.
• Proven ability to design and deliver technical training, including assessment of learning outcomes.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills for group sessions.
• Full UK driving licence and a passport for occasional European travel.
