Technology Manager

About the role

GR Consulting is seeking a Technology Manager to lead technology operations across a large, multi‑site environment. Working closely with the IT Director, you will shape the future direction of technology services, drive operational excellence and ensure secure, reliable systems that support an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technology operations across a distributed environment, balancing stability with rapid change.
• Drive operational excellence, standardisation and continual improvement.
• Own Incident, Problem and Change Management processes, including major incident handling and root‑cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain operational standards, policies and best practices.
• Manage third‑party suppliers, contracts and service delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Architecture and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles (e.g., Senior IT Manager, Head of IT, Operational Lead).
• Hands‑on technical background with a passion for driving impact.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence technology strategy.
• Experience in large, multi‑site or retail environments is essential.
