Technology & Operations Risk Manager – S3, Chief Information & Resilience Office

About the role

Santander UK is seeking a Technology & Operations Risk Manager to join the Chief Information & Resilience Office. Based in Milton Keynes or Glasgow, you will provide independent oversight and challenge across technology and cyber risk, ensuring risks are identified, assessed and managed within the bank’s appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight of Technology & Operations risk in line with Operational Risk Management frameworks.
• Review and challenge Risk & Control Self‑Assessments (RCSA) for completeness, accuracy and robust control design.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of Risk & Control Profiles (RCPs), including risk identification, control mapping and residual risk assessment.
• Oversee risk data within tooling such as Heracles, guaranteeing alignment and consistency across the risk ecosystem.
• Drive improvements in risk frameworks to make them data‑driven, robust and aligned with regulatory expectations.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in cybersecurity, IT risk and control frameworks.
• Ability to analyse risk data, challenge control environments and influence improvements.
• First‑line of defence experience with a proactive, responsible approach to risk management.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with technology, operations and senior stakeholders.
