Telehandler Operator – Forklift Driver (Part‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a safety‑focused Telehandler Operator to join our residential construction team in Wantage. The role is part‑time and temporary, offering a competitive hourly rate of £19‑£21 depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the telehandler safely to load, unload, transport and stack materials across the site.
• Distribute supplies to various plots and assist bricklayers, joiners and roofers by placing packs precisely where needed.
• Carry out daily pre‑start safety checks, maintain logbooks and report any defects immediately.
• Support site management with general logistics and, when required, assist with material handling outside the cab.

Required profile

• Valid CPCS or NPORS card (with CSCS logo) for telescopic handlers of all sizes.
• 2‑3 years of consistent telehandler experience on fast‑paced residential or large housing developments.
• Excellent spatial awareness and an impeccable safety record.
• Full UK driving licence and appropriate PPE (hard hat, high‑vis vest, steel‑toe boots).
