Temporary Accountant – Industrial/Manufacturing

About the role

This temporary accountant position supports the finance function of a small industrial/manufacturing company in Sevenoaks. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing insight to aid decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and ledgers.
• Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal policies.
• Support month‑end and year‑end financial close processes.
• Review and process invoices and expense claims.
• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
• Provide financial and accountancy data and insights to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in the responsibilities listed above.
• Ability to start on short notice.
• Strong attention to detail and solid knowledge of core accounting principles.
