Temporary Accounts Assistant (AP) – Liverpool

About the role

We are seeking a Temporary Accounts Assistant to support the accounts payable function for a tech‑focused logistics company near Liverpool. This 3‑6 month assignment offers a fast‑paced environment where you will hit the ground running and contribute to timely supplier payments.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that invoices are loaded via SICON and manually input any missing invoices into Sage.
• Raise purchase orders and obtain invoice approvals for payment.
• Process payment runs, including suppliers, capital expenditures, foreign, inter‑company and PAYE.
• Perform account reconciliations and download/post bank statement transactions.
• Provide transaction details to team members and clear the accounts inbox.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably in a fast‑moving setting.
• Proficiency with Sage and strong attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills and confidence when dealing directly with suppliers.
• Reliable, efficient and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
