Temporary Bookkeeper – Part‑time (2‑6pm)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join a busy organisation in Harrow on a part‑time, long‑term temporary basis (6 months). The role runs Monday‑Thursday, 2:00 pm‑6:00 pm and offers a rate of £16 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Post complex journals and perform inter‑company reconciliations.
• Manage the Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Reconcile bank and credit‑card statements.
• Handle VAT matters (standard, cash, partial exemption) and submit VAT returns.
• File financial documents both electronically and manually.

Required profile

• Proven bookkeeping experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Sage 50.
• Experience with inter‑company reconciliations and complex journal postings.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Word.
• Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
