About the role
This is a short‑term, temporary position for a Chef de Partie at a newly mobilising secondary and sixth‑form school in Bath. The assignment runs from 2 September 2026 to 18 September 2026, with shifts from 07:00 to 15:00. You will help set up the kitchen, manage staff and ensure smooth daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and stock your designated kitchen section before service.
- Cook and plate menu items accurately during service.
- Manage station inventory and minimise food waste.
- Train and oversee commis chefs or kitchen assistants.
- Maintain strict kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
Required profile
- Enhanced DBS (must be recent, within the past 30 days).
- Safeguarding children certification.
- KCSIE training.
- Level 3 food safety training.
- Allergen handling training (mandatory, unpaid).
Required skills
- Food safety (Level 3) knowledge.
- Allergen handling competence.
