About the role

We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to provide day‑to‑day supply across secondary schools in East Sussex. This temporary position is ideal for individuals with experience in UK schools or those eager to start a teaching career, offering exposure to a variety of subjects and classroom environments.

Key responsibilities

• Cover secondary classes across multiple subjects, ensuring continuity of learning when the regular teacher is absent.
• Adapt quickly to different classroom settings, school policies, and timetables.
• Engage students in learning activities, maintain discipline, and foster a positive atmosphere.
• Prepare and deliver instructional activities that promote active learning.
• Provide constructive feedback on student work and keep accurate records of progress.
• Manage classroom behaviour by enforcing school rules and procedures.

Required profile

• Flexibility to adapt to varying teaching assignments and school environments.
• Previous experience in UK schools is advantageous but not mandatory.
