Temporary Employee Relations Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a Temporary Employee Relations Advisor to join our Leeds office for a 3‑6 month assignment. The role will provide expert HR advice, support managers through complex employee‑relations cases and help embed best‑practice people‑management processes across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for HR queries and coach managers on people‑management issues.
• Assist HR Business Partners and operational teams with TUPE transitions, recruitment and workforce planning.
• Manage employee‑relations casework including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and redundancy matters.
• Review, update and communicate HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
• Maintain and update the HR information system (HRIS) and contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes.
• Promote the organisation’s culture and support business performance objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in employee relations handling a substantial caseload in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
• High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, temporary assignment.

Required skills

• HRIS (experience updating and maintaining employee data).
