Temporary English Lecturer – Flexible Teaching Role

About the role

Reed is seeking enthusiastic English Lecturers for temporary assignments with well‑established Further Education providers in Liverpool. This flexible, agency‑managed role allows you to deliver high‑quality English instruction while supporting learners across a range of programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons for diverse learner groups.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress in line with college requirements.
• Provide constructive feedback, academic and pastoral support.
• Maintain accurate teaching records and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with learner retention, achievement and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in English or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent.
• Experience teaching English in Further Education, secondary, or adult learning settings.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
