Temporary Facilities Manager – 3-6 Month Rolling Contract

About the role

This temporary position offers a 3‑to‑6‑month rolling contract for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee a national portfolio of retail parks, offices and industrial estates across South England. Based in the City of London, you will travel regularly to sites in Bath, Bristol, Brighton, Reading and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all statutory health & safety and environmental regulations; maintain a 95% compliance rating.
• Conduct monthly audits, manage risk assessments and upload documentation to the central system.
• Maintain high standards of cleaning, repair and presentation within budget.
• Attend emergency incidents, report according to process and develop contingency plans.
• Monitor service partner performance and address any shortcomings.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programmes and conduct vacant property inspections.
• Manage occupier relationships, update Property Manager on new tenants and pass on enquiries promptly.
• Record utility consumption, implement energy‑management strategies and prepare draft service‑charge budgets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities management across multiple property types.
• Ability to travel extensively and work autonomously on site.
• Strong organisational skills with a focus on compliance and risk management.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation for occupier interaction.
