Temporary Finance Administrator (Part‑time)

About the role

This temporary position supports the accounting team of a specialist construction company during a busy period. It is part‑time, up to 28 hours per week, based at the office near Grays in Essex.

Key responsibilities

• Input proof of supplier delivery details into the accounting system
• Match delivery documentation against purchase orders
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between deliveries and orders
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries
• Provide general administrative support to the wider accounts team

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar finance‑based role
• Fast and accurate numeric data entry skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable working with accounting systems (training provided)
• Team player who can work in a fast‑paced environment
• Well‑organised and confident to work on own initiative
• Ability to manage a high volume of transactions accurately
