Temporary Financial Controller (3‑month contract)

About the role

Our client, a leading hospitality company in London, seeks an immediate, temporary Financial Controller for a three‑month assignment. You will lead the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting and driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial planning.
• Prepare and automate group financial reporting in line with FRS10.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement of finance processes.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk management and financial governance.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Produce management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow reports.
• Manage financial controls, compliance and statutory reporting.
• Provide financial analysis and commercial insight to support decision‑making.
• Manage and develop the finance team.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors and senior stakeholders.
• Utilise Sage 200 for system enhancements and reporting.

Required profile

• Background in Retail or Hospitality finance.
• Excellent Excel proficiency.
• Immediate availability or notice of one week.
• Experience in financial control, budgeting and reporting.
