Temporary Housing Officer – North London

About the role

This temporary position supports a leading housing association in North London while covering a short‑term absence. You will be based in the Enfield office and manage a portfolio of 500‑800 homes, including shared‑ownership and general‑needs properties.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a customer‑focused neighbourhood management service across Enfield, Barnet, Waltham Forest and Haringey.
• Conduct property inspections to maintain standards and safety.
• Manage tenancy breaches and anti‑social behaviour incidents in line with policy.
• Perform tenancy audits to keep tenant records accurate.
• Collaborate with external agencies to provide support for tenants.
• Assist the Income Team with rent collection and arrears management.
• Engage with tenants to improve their living experience.

Required profile

• Experience in neighbourhood management or similar housing role.
• Knowledge of tenancy regulations, ASB handling and property standards.
• Ability to work independently, think creatively and solve problems.
• Flexibility to start on short notice (max 1 week).

Required skills

• Understanding of anti‑social behaviour management (highly desirable).
