Temporary Housing Officer – Office Based

About the role

TRI Consulting is seeking an office‑based Housing Officer for a three‑month fixed‑term assignment supporting a Housing Association in North London. The role focuses on delivering a high‑quality, empathetic service to residents while ensuring tenancy sustainability and property readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with residents, resolve issues promptly, and uphold safeguarding procedures.
• Manage tenancies, address unacceptable behaviour constructively, and support tenants to sustain their homes.
• Prepare void properties to the agreed “void standard,” issue work orders, and follow lettings procedures.
• Process landlord repair requests via Workwise, authorise budgeted work orders, and collaborate with Asset Management on complex repairs.
• Execute rent and service charge collection, debt management, and accurate accounting of service charges.
• Visit residents’ homes to assess needs, identify repairs, and record actions.

Required profile

• Recent experience as a Housing Officer or in a similar housing role.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a wider team.
• Immediate availability or short‑notice start.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Workwise or similar property management software.
