Temporary IT Operations Technician – 3‑Month Assignment

About the role

This temporary 3‑month assignment supports the head office of a global FMCG organisation. You will join a busy IT team, delivering day‑to‑day support and assisting with several business‑critical upgrade projects. The role is office‑based in the West End and requires immediate availability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day IT support across the business.
• Support the Laptop Upgrade Programme.
• Support the iPad Upgrade Programme.
• Support the Company Phone Upgrade Project.
• Deliver user engagement and migration assistance.
• Conduct laptop audits and condition assessments.
• Assist with mobile device disposal reviews.
• Support Asset Management inventory reviews and clearance.
• Assist with the IT equipment recycling project.
• Provide meeting and event IT support as required.
• Communicate professionally and promptly with end users.
• Deliver IT security and end‑user service training when needed.
• Administer user accounts, permissions and access in relevant systems.
• Support local infrastructure components alongside second‑level teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve IT services, processes and tools.

Required profile

• Previous hands‑on IT support experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, organised and collaborative approach.
• Immediate availability – candidates with a notice period will not be considered.
