Temporary Maths Lecturer – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Maths Lecturer for temporary assignments with well‑established further education providers across Manchester. This flexible role allows you to deliver high‑quality mathematics teaching to learners pursuing GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Maths lessons for GCSE and Functional Skills programmes.
• Assess, monitor and record learner progress in line with college requirements.
• Provide constructive feedback and tailored support to help students achieve their goals.
• Maintain accurate teaching records and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Support learner retention, achievement and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) is desirable.
• Experience teaching Maths in Further Education, secondary or adult learning settings.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
