Temporary Maths Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Full‑time

About the role

We are seeking a Temporary Maths Teacher to cover maternity leave in an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ school. This full‑time position will involve teaching Mathematics to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of delivering KS5 lessons.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons for KS3 and KS4 (and optionally KS5) pupils.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and intervene where needed.
• Develop interactive resources that address diverse learning styles.
• Collaborate with the maths department to share best practices and resources.
• Participate in departmental and whole‑school professional development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching maths at KS3 and KS4; ability to teach KS5 is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the UK mathematics curriculum and contemporary teaching methods.
• Ability to create an inclusive, respectful learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth.
