Temporary Porter/Caretaker – London

About the role

We are seeking reliable Temporary Porters/Caretakers to support a range of residential developments across London. In this role you will ensure each building remains clean, safe and well‑presented while delivering a high level of customer service to residents, visitors and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Hoover, sweep and polish communal areas
• Pick up litter and keep external spaces tidy
• Collect and dispose of bins up to three times per week
• Monitor building access and welcome visitors
• Man the front desk and respond to resident queries
• Receive and handle post and courier deliveries
• Communicate effectively with residents, the Property Management Company and Abbatt
• Monitor on‑site contractors
• Carry out fire‑alarm testing where required
• Maintain accurate daily site logs
• Sweep building entrances and uphold presentation standards
• Use initiative to resolve day‑to‑day issues
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management

Required profile

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong communication and customer‑service abilities
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
• Knowledge of fire‑safety regulations
• Proactive, reliable and professional attitude
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative
