Temporary Recruitment Officer

About the role

This six‑week temporary position supports a specialist education provider that works with children and young people with complex needs. You will join the People team to manage the full recruitment lifecycle for teaching, support, therapy and operational roles, ensuring compliance with safeguarding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment from advertising to offer stage.
• Write and place engaging job adverts across appropriate channels.
• Coordinate shortlisting, interview scheduling and candidate communication.
• Liaise with hiring managers to understand current and future staffing needs.
• Support recruitment and vetting of agency, bank and temporary workers.
• Ensure all safer recruitment checks are completed before start dates.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records, trackers and databases.
• Produce reports on recruitment performance and workforce trends.
• Assist in developing strategies for hard‑to‑fill vacancies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition.
• Strong understanding of safer recruitment and safeguarding requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple vacancies in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience in education or working with vulnerable children is advantageous.

What we offer

• Full‑time hours (8 am‑4 pm, Monday‑Friday) with an hourly rate of £15.30.
