Temporary Sample Storage Assistant

About the role

This temporary position supports a regulated sample storage environment for a life‑sciences organisation. You will handle the receipt, movement, labelling, storage and dispatch of biological samples while following SOPs and GMP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, move, label and store incoming goods and biological samples in line with SOPs and GMP standards.
• Check and inspect goods for quantity, type and quality before storage.
• Prepare, pack and label products for dispatch.
• Support inventory processes and maintain accurate records.
• Liaise with courier companies to coordinate deliveries and dispatches.
• Maintain clear communication with colleagues, clients, visitors and suppliers.
• Keep quality documentation, folders and spreadsheets up to date.
• Ensure a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Required profile

• Good general education with strong numeracy and literacy.
• Experience in administration, customer service, warehouse, logistics or a regulated environment is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and record‑keeping abilities.
• Comfortable with manual handling and use of lifting equipment (training provided).
• Computer literate – email, spreadsheets, data entry and databases.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise daily tasks.
• Flexible, adaptable and team‑focused attitude.
• Suitable for science graduates seeking GMP training.
