Temporary Trainee Specialist Valuer

About the role

Premier Work Support is seeking a temporary Trainee Specialist Valuer to work remotely for a leading valuation company based in Colchester. The role offers a structured environment where you will develop technical expertise in asset and share valuations, gain exposure to HMRC compliance, and support high‑quality client service over a six‑month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with share and asset valuations for probate and other valuation types.
• Support historical capital value research using internal valuation systems and external data sources.
• Help prepare valuation reports, including narrative summaries, capital history, and dividend calculations.
• Liaise with internal teams and clients, escalating queries to senior valuers as needed.
• Resolve data discrepancies by coordinating with registrars or data providers.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling client information.
• Identify opportunities to improve valuation efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, quality, and security standards.

Required profile

• Strong computer literacy with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload independently in a busy environment.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge or experience of the stock market, probate, legal processes, or financial services.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (including Excel).
• CRM/database systems.
