Temporary Visiting Officer – Tenancy Audits

About the role
We are partnering with a large national social housing provider to recruit two temporary Visiting Officers to carry out tenancy audits across London. The three‑month contract involves 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at an hourly rate of £21.50 (umbrella) plus mileage reimbursement at £0.55 per mile. The role requires independent judgment, field‑based travel and a focus on safeguarding, housing knowledge and strong record‑keeping.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled and unannounced visits to properties.
- Verify occupancy and assess safety and suitability.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and tenancy breaches.
- Gather evidence and recommend appropriate action.
- Support residents in accessing services.
Required profile
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (desirable).
- Confidence to conduct scheduled and unannounced visits.
- Ability to identify housing fraud, non‑occupation and breaches.
