Tenancy Housing Officer

About the role

The Hyde Group is seeking a Tenancy Housing Officer to join its tenancy management team in the London Borough of Islington. You will play a frontline role in safeguarding homes, tackling anti‑social behaviour and ensuring the sustainability of our communities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and resolve anti‑social behaviour (ASB) and tenancy enforcement cases from initiation to closure.
• Conduct investigations, risk assessments and develop clear case plans.
• Manage breaches such as illegal occupation, abandonment and sub‑letting.
• Support sensitive cases involving safeguarding, domestic abuse and vulnerability.
• Prepare high‑quality legal documentation and attend court when required.
• Collaborate with police, local authorities, safeguarding teams and community partners.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legislation and policy.
• Identify trends and contribute to service improvement and prevention strategies.

Required profile

• Strong experience in ASB or tenancy management, preferably within social housing or a regulated environment.
• Excellent investigative and case‑management abilities.
• Confidence handling complex, sensitive and confrontational situations.
• Effective communication skills with a focus on building trust and de‑escalation.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across agencies and internal teams.
• Methodical, evidence‑led decision‑making approach.
• Commitment to delivering fair, proportionate and legally sound outcomes.
