Tenancy Support Worker – Edinburgh & Midlothian

About the role

The Tenancy Support Worker will work independently across Edinburgh and Midlothian, helping older adults maintain stable, safe accommodation. You will guide clients through housing processes, set up utilities and ensure they can live independently with dignity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on tenancy sustainment support to older adults, ensuring safe and secure housing.
• Assist with housing applications, Housing Benefit claims and identify relevant grants.
• Coordinate the set‑up of essential utilities such as gas and electricity for new or continuing tenancies.
• Travel independently throughout Edinburgh, Midlothian and Penicuik to deliver personalised support.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience supporting older adults in a care or support setting.
• Valid PVG clearance.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Required skills

• Ability to navigate housing benefit systems and complete related paperwork.
• Strong organisational skills for managing multiple client cases.
