Tenancy Support Worker – Edinburgh & Penicuik

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Tenancy Support Worker to help individuals in Edinburgh, Midlothian and Penicuik maintain stable accommodation. This permanent, full‑time role offers a high degree of autonomy while working within the community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct support to clients to sustain their tenancies and prevent homelessness.
• Assist with housing applications, including Housing Benefit and other grants.
• Help clients set up essential utilities such as gas and electricity.
• Conduct assessments and develop personalised support plans.
• Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure holistic support.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience supporting older adults in a care setting.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of tenancy sustainment principles.

What we offer

• Permanent contract – 36 hours per week, Monday‑Friday.
• Hourly rate £12.63, rising to £12.88 after probation.
• Annual salary £23,643 – £24,111.
