Tenancy Support Worker – Penicuik

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Tenancy Support Worker to help older adults maintain independent, safe, and comfortable housing in the Penicuik, Edinburgh and Midlothian area. The role focuses on tenancy sustainment, assisting service users with housing, utilities and benefit matters while working autonomously in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Housing advocacy – support service users with housing applications, Housing Benefit claims and grant applications.
• Home setup – help clients set up and manage utilities such as gas and electricity.
• Tenancy sustainment – provide guidance to maintain stable accommodation and prevent homelessness.
• Community mobility – travel between client homes to deliver support in their own environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience supporting older adults in a care or support setting.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
• Strong organisational ability and capacity to work independently without direct supervision.

Required skills

• Ability to navigate housing systems and benefit application processes.
