Tenancy Sustainment and Floating Support Officer (Homelessness)

About the role

The Tenancy Sustainment and Floating Support Officer will provide person‑centred assistance to vulnerable individuals and families across Cheshire East. Working both in supported accommodation and independent tenancies, you will help clients develop the confidence and skills needed to maintain safe, stable housing.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out inductions, risk assessments and create personalised support plans.
• Assist customers with wellbeing, budgeting, benefits claims and move‑on housing options.
• Conduct regular health and safety checks on properties and maintain accurate records.
• Manage a caseload, liaising with support networks, local services and community partners.

Required profile

• GCSE‑level education or equivalent with experience supporting people with complex needs.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to prioritise, solve problems and work under pressure.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
