About the role

Join Tesco as a Store Team Member and help deliver excellent service to shoppers every day. This role offers a mix of customer‑facing duties, stock handling and store upkeep, with flexible hours to suit your lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, understand their needs and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Operate checkout and point‑of‑sale equipment safely and accurately.
• Assist with product picking, replenishment and merchandising across the store.
• Handle deliveries and stock deliveries, ensuring items are received and displayed correctly.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety standards and product quality.
• Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Support store performance by contributing to sales, reducing waste and following company policies.

Required profile

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Passion for delivering great customer service with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to learn and follow training on safety and store procedures.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly rate starting at £13.28, up to £14.55 for stores within the M25.
• Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week (or 12 hours for part‑time options).
• Three weeks' notice of scheduled shifts.
