Test and Development Engineer

About the role

Terex’s Green‑Tec division is seeking a Test and Development Engineer to join its Campsie team. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager and New Product Development teams to ensure customer requirements shape the design and testing of new and upgraded heavy‑equipment products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design engineers to define performance and test criteria for tracked and wheeled equipment.
• Develop and execute independent test programmes, record results and produce comprehensive reports on product performance, failure modes and regulatory compliance.
• Design standardised testing regimes for new product development across all product groups.
• Maintain centralised documentation of test data, engine hours, service history and issue logs.
• Identify suitable test locations and communicate prototype objectives to dealers and customers.
• Provide flexible support, including short‑notice travel and variable working hours as required.

Required profile

• Higher National Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience developing, testing and launching mobile tracked or wheeled heavy equipment.
• Understanding of the operational environments and performance expectations of such machinery.
• Hands‑on, practical approach with strong interest in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical system development.
