Test Engineer – Automotive Test Vehicles & Rigs

About the role

We are looking for a Test Engineer to support Connected Car and Cyber Security programmes by managing test vehicles, rigs and test benches. The role ensures that test assets are kept at the correct hardware and software levels and provides technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain test vehicles, rigs and test facilities.
• Ensure test properties meet project specifications and software release requirements.
• Provide technical troubleshooting, diagnostics and workshop support.
• Maintain asset status and configuration records in Confluence.
• Coordinate bookings, logistics and parts ordering for test properties.
• Set up vehicles and rigs for regression testing, certification and field issue investigations.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal engineering teams to support delivery.

Required profile

• Experience with automotive test vehicles, rigs or system integration environments.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, testing and software/hardware configuration.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ODIS or IDEX.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
