Test Strategy

About the role

The Test Strategy role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance across DCDLS delivery projects. It ensures rigorous test planning, execution, and reporting, and is accountable for the overall effectiveness of the testing function.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain testing strategy, standards, and templates across the DCDLS SDLC.
• Plan and coordinate testing activities for all client delivery projects.
• Line‑manage testers within delivery pods, ensuring performance and development.
• Own test environment readiness and coordination with DevSecOps.
• Collaborate with BAs and developers to ensure quality user stories and testable requirements.
• Track and report test metrics, defect rates, and release readiness.
• Support automation strategy and tooling selection.
• Conduct root cause analysis for high‑priority issues and quality failures.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Deep understanding of test planning, execution, regression, UAT, and automation frameworks.
• Experience managing testers across multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of JIRA, XRay, or similar test management tools.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and collaboration skills.
