Theatre Scrub Nurse – Orthopaedics (Full‑Time)

About the role

Join the Theatre department at Woodlands Hospital, Kettering, as an Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse. You will work in state‑of‑the‑art operating theatres, supporting surgeons in a range of orthopaedic procedures while contributing to Ramsay Health Care’s ‘people caring for people’ ethos.

Key responsibilities

• Provide scrub support for orthopaedic surgeries, including hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
• Maintain a sterile environment in theatres equipped with laminar airflow systems.
• Assist the surgical team by handling instruments, preparing the operative field and ensuring patient safety.

Required profile

• NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions.
• Proven surgical scrub experience within orthopaedics.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexible, positive attitude and empathetic character.

Required skills

• Surgical scrub experience within orthopaedics (hip, knee, ACL procedures).
• Knowledge of sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) – desirable but not essential.
