About the role
The Theatre Team Lead works within a multidisciplinary team to assess patient care needs, evaluate care plans and ensure delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred services. The role also provides leadership and governance when the Clinical Lead is absent, supporting staff deployment and supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Assess care needs and evaluate care plans to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Supervise and deploy staff, ensuring smooth departmental operation during rotations.
- Maintain clinical and staff governance, upholding NHS Scotland policies.
- Participate in duty rosters covering day, long‑day, weekend and twilight shifts, and be on‑call for 24‑hour coverage.
Required profile
- Legal right to work in the United Kingdom, verified through UK Visa and Immigration Service.
- Current membership of the PVG Scheme (or ability to obtain satisfactory clearance from Disclosure Scotland).
- Ability to work rotationally with other Team Leads and provide leadership in the Clinical Lead’s absence.
