About the role
The Theatre Team Lead works within a multidisciplinary team to assess patient care needs, develop and evaluate care plans, and ensure delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred services. The role also provides departmental leadership when the Clinical Lead is absent.
Key responsibilities
- Assess care needs and evaluate individual care plans for theatre patients.
- Ensure delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred care throughout the department.
- Supervise and deploy staff on a rotational basis with other Team Leads.
- Maintain clinical and staff governance standards.
- Participate in duty rosters covering day, long day, weekend and twilight shifts.
- Provide 24‑hour on‑call cover across the week as required.
Required profile
- Hold a current PVG Scheme membership appropriate to the adult/child regulatory group.
- Have legal permission to work in the United Kingdom.
- Be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends and on‑call duties.
