About the role
Join Woodland Hospital as a Theatre Team Lead – Orthopaedics Practice Educator and play a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality surgical care. You will mentor and develop the orthopaedic scrub team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional clinical care to orthopaedic surgical patients.
- Lead, support and act as a role model for the orthopaedic scrub team.
- Provide mentorship, coaching and educational support to staff at all levels.
- Promote a safe, supportive learning environment aligned with Speaking Up for Safety principles.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement and continuous innovation.
- Work across a varied orthopaedic case mix, including arthroscopy, joint replacements and spinal surgery.
Required profile
- Current registration with the HCPC or NMC (UK) and ongoing CDP.
- Extensive experience as an orthopaedic scrub practitioner in a hospital setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical standards in a surgical environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong customer‑care orientation and ability to work flexibly, including extra hours when needed.
