Therapeutic Practitioner – Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

About the role
Ormiston Families is seeking a qualified CBT Therapist to join its Supporting Smiles service, delivering therapeutic support to children and young people across Norfolk and Waveney. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence‑based mental health interventions for ages 4‑25.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver individual and group CBT sessions in schools, family hubs and community venues.
- Assess and develop personalised therapeutic pathways for children, young people and families.
- Collaborate with counsellors, wellbeing practitioners and partner organisations to ensure holistic care.
- Travel across Norfolk and Waveney to provide accessible services.
- Maintain accurate case notes and adhere to safeguarding and DBS requirements.
Required profile
- Registered or accredited CBT therapist with relevant qualifications.
- Experience working with children, young people or families in a mental‑health setting.
- Commitment to a needs‑led, child‑centred approach.
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple community venues.
Required skills
- CBT delivery and assessment techniques.
- Understanding of child and adolescent mental health frameworks.
- Safeguarding and DBS compliance.
