Third Party Claims Handler – Motor & Credit Hire

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Third Party Claims Handler to join our Bolton office. You will work on a varied portfolio of motor and property damage claims, developing expertise in liability assessment, credit hire and dispute resolution within a supportive, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end third‑party motor and property damage claims, maintaining a busy caseload.
• Investigate liability, assess complex and disputed claims and support decision‑making.
• Handle credit hire claims, including validation, negotiation and cost‑control activities.
• Liaise professionally with insurers, solicitors and other external stakeholders throughout the claims lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience in motor claims, preferably within a third‑party environment.
• Strong understanding of liability assessment and claims negotiation.
• Willingness to work towards a CII qualification with employer support.
