Tool Maintenance Technician (Dayshift)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Tool Maintenance Technician to join a leading plastics and injection moulding manufacturer on a dayshift schedule. You will be responsible for keeping mould tooling and related equipment in optimal condition, supporting production and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair mould tooling and associated components safely and efficiently.
• Perform precision machining operations to meet production and engineering requirements.
• Monitor and manage the tool change schedule, collaborating with planning to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of tooling spares and consumables.
• Keep the tool room and surrounding areas clean and organized.
• Liaise with external suppliers for tooling repairs and procurement.
• Conduct risk assessments and support audit activities to promote a safe workplace.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the tool room.

Required profile

• Completed apprenticeship in toolmaking, die maintenance or a related field.
• Experience in plastics or injection moulding manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
