Tool Technician II – Downhole Tools Maintenance

About the role

Halliburton is seeking a Tool Technician II to join its Aberdeen operations team. The role focuses on repairing, maintaining, and assembling conventional and down‑hole tools used in oil‑field services. You will work under general supervision while contributing to safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on surface equipment and down‑hole tools.
• Assemble and disassemble down‑hole tools according to technical specifications.
• Conduct pressure testing and mechanical aptitude assessments on equipment.
• Promote safety awareness, environmental consciousness, and compliance with HSE regulations.
• Participate actively in quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 6‑12 months experience as a Tool Technician I or comparable training.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an oil‑field service environment.
• Basic mathematical, reading, and writing skills.
• Possibly a commercial driver’s licence, if required for equipment operation.
