Topographical Surveyor – Hybrid, £35k‑£40k + Car Allowance

About the role

We are seeking a Topographical Surveyor to join a well‑established engineering consultancy in Gloucester. The role combines on‑site topographical surveys with office‑based point‑cloud processing, offering a clear pathway to a specialist CAD position and eventual team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out topographical surveys and point‑cloud data capture across diverse engineering projects.
• Process, register and draft point‑cloud data using specialist software.
• Work approximately 60% office‑based and 40% on‑site with hybrid flexibility.
• Collaborate with the Geospatial Manager and surveying team to deliver high‑quality technical outputs.
• Progress into a fully office‑based CAD role and potentially lead a growing CAD team.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in point‑cloud drafting and registration.
• Proficiency with Cyclone or RealWorks software.
• Background in land, geospatial or geotechnical surveying.
• A desire for long‑term progression into a specialist CAD and leadership role.
