Track Safety Trainer – Rail Safety Training (South East England)

About the role
We are seeking a qualified Track Safety Trainer to deliver rail safety training across our programmes in Essex and the wider South East region. You will work with apprentices and experienced rail professionals, providing both classroom and practical instruction.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver track safety training courses such as PTS and other core competencies.
- Provide IOSH training as part of the broader safety offering.
- Support initial training and upskilling programmes for rail staff.
- Run a mix of classroom‑based and hands‑on practical sessions.
- Guide learners through assessments and progression pathways.
Required profile
- Strong background in rail track safety (e.g., PTS, COSS or similar).
- Ability to deliver IOSH training.
- Recognised teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, DET or equivalent).
- Assessor qualification desirable (TAQA, A1 or equivalent).
- Experience delivering training or working in an instructional capacity.
- Comfortable delivering to groups and willing to travel as required.
