Trade Client Manager - South West England

About the role

MSX International is looking for a field-based Trade Client Manager for its genuine trade parts business, supporting a network of premium automotive retailers representing a globally recognised premium vehicle manufacturer. The role is based in the South West of England and is home-based, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse retailer performance, identify opportunities and risks, and give data-driven recommendations to grow genuine parts sales.
• Provide root cause analysis and practical solutions to business challenges and performance gaps.
• Develop strategic growth plans and track and communicate the commercial impact of recommendations and improvement initiatives.
• Work with Heads of Business, Parts Managers, Parts Advisors, Business Development Managers and other retailer and manufacturer stakeholders.
• Present complex business data clearly and deliver professional presentations, business reviews and performance updates to retailer management teams.
• Travel extensively throughout the region, including regular overnight stays.

Required profile

• Experienced automotive professionals such as current or former Parts Managers, regional or area managers, automotive aftermarket professionals or trade parts business development managers.
• Candidates from outside the automotive sector are also welcome who show strong business acumen, analytical capability and stakeholder management experience.
• Ability to interpret business performance data, build strategic plans and influence senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Strong analytical ability and commercial awareness.
• Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.

• Salary of £40,000 base plus an additional £5,000 annual OTE bonus.
