Trade Coordinator, Fixed Income

About the role

Wellington Management is seeking a Trade Coordinator to support its Global Fixed Income Trading activities in London. The role works closely with traders, portfolio managers and multiple internal teams, focusing on a broad range of fixed income products, including non‑dollar rates, credit, emerging market debt, FX and derivatives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate execution and allocation of all fixed income transactions.
• Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies promptly.
• Gather, compile and disseminate relevant market information.
• Assist with securities financing and repo execution for traders and portfolio managers.
• Manage primary market deal flow, collating and communicating firm orders to brokers.
• Collaborate with other Wellington departments to meet client needs in a timely manner.
• Monitor news, trends and regulatory changes that may affect trading processes.
• Support prioritisation of system enhancements to reduce operational risk.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree; professional qualification such as IMC or CFA is a plus.
• 2‑5 years of experience as a Trade Coordinator or in a similar support function.
• Strong interest and understanding of fixed income or equity markets.
• Ability to work under pressure, take direction from multiple sources and prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective interaction with global internal teams.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Familiarity with trade applications such as TradeSec, OASYS Connect, CTM and Omgeo TradeSuite.
• Basic programming or data‑analysis skills, specifically Python and SQL.
