About the role
Deloitte is seeking a Trade Operations Specialist to join its hybrid team in Chester. The role focuses on guarantees and standby letters of credit, providing technical and analytical support to a top‑tier client base. You will work 2‑3 days per week on‑site and the remainder remotely, starting as soon as possible.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of guarantee and standby LC transactions, ensuring timely delivery and client communication.
- Research, analyse, and resolve client enquiries, including specialised or exception cases.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to relevant trade finance rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support trade finance operations.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of guarantees and standby letters of credit (SBLCs).
- Familiarity with trade finance regulations such as UCP 600, ISP 98 and URDG 758.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills for client‑facing interactions.
