Trading Assistant – Night Shift

About the role

Join a busy Sainsbury’s store as a Trading Assistant on the night shift. You will help keep the shop well‑stocked, tidy and ready for customers each day.

Key responsibilities

• Collect stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15 kg) and replenish a wide range of items across the store.
• Maintain clean, tidy and well‑presented shelves.
• Assist customers during store opening hours, answer questions and proactively offer help.
• Check dates on fresh produce and grocery products.
• Support deliveries and help wherever needed throughout the store.
• Develop strong product knowledge to recommend items and promote promotions.

Required profile

• Enjoy working overnight in a fast‑paced, physical environment.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly, enthusiastic and eager to help customers.
• Take ownership of tasks and use initiative to solve problems.
• Flexible, productive and attentive to detail.
• Willing to learn new digital tools and technology.
